贴贴我的另类背景

来CD其实满长时间了，在这里看到了很多，也学到了很多。今天第一次贴贴我的背景，也请NN们给分析分析申请美国前20的学校的可能。感觉个人的背景不如各位NN们让人叹服，只是似乎和大部分人的路线不太一样。只是不知道Variety到底在申请中有多重要了。

本人本科为军事院校出身，并非国际知名的牛校。好在读书时成绩尚可。毕业后部队工作五年。

其间取得某国内著名（并非国际著名）高校的硕士学位，文科背景，与经济金融类无关。

离开部队后来到某中等规模上市公司工作三年，现为某部门经理。

此外，因为爸妈一直在经营一个家族企业，将来的职业发展应该是继承这个企业，或进行创业。

GMAT八月考，从现在复习情况来看，700分左右，不会太高，Toefl也没考，根据复习来看，100分左右。

希望大家帮我参谋参谋，或者扔扔砖头泼泼冷水也行，谢谢！

I suggest you select schools after taking GMAT.

Military experience is definitely something interesting to the AdCom, however, you still have to demonstrate your leadership potential / capability in the essays, recommendations, etc. Same for your 3-yr Manager position in the company. If thinking of family business or entrepreneur, you may want to consider some European schools as well, IE, INSEAD, Oxford, IMD, etc. These are all 1-year programs. All the Best!

I prefer American business schools, especially those famous for their entrepreneurship.

How do you guys think of UCLA? Could you recommend some other BSs that have high rankings and also renowned for their understanding for new industries and entrepreneurship instead of traditional schools?

UCLA and UC-Berkeley are good, but their program is not big. Do some school survey first.
