我觉得，无论how it was 或者是way it was 都是很wordy的，所以只有C最简洁了，另外in the last century的确应该用完成时的！

个人觉得ABE有个共同的缺点就是little changed, 改成changed little会比较好。

另外同意ls,整个句子强调的是完成时，也就是妇女地位在上个世纪中的转变过成及对现在的影响；好像并没有特别明显的比较痕迹，lz可以试试换个角度看这道题。

changed 可以做形容词吗? changed 只能是change  的过去式把?

(B) is a little change from how it was

change 此处做名词, 没有动词好.  it 指代不明,chang or status?

C) has changed little

(D) has changed little from how it has been（C）

繁琐, 去掉不影响意思.

(E) is little changed from the way it was

the way, 出现了新的概念, it 多余!
