Do you agree or disagree with the
following statement: Parents find it hard to control their children for the
children are now influenced by many things outside home like television or
movie.

    

 

    

"Children are going wild because of
the television." Some parents now often complain about their children.
They believe that many things such as television and movie have a bad influence
on the kids and make it hard to control their children. In fact, the rising
number of adolescent criminals shows that the children seem to be harder to
control than before. However, are things like television or movie the real or
ultimate reasons for this problem?

    

  The
parents, as the children's custodians, have the responsibility to take good
care of their kids till they become adult. They should control the children’s
behavior since they are still too young to think or act independently. However,
some children are not kept carefully or correctly, so they tend to do something
wrong and even run out of control. Thus, as far as I am concerned, it is the
parents’ fault, not the television or movie that causes the problems of
children.

    

  In
this twenty first century, more and more parents become occupied with their
work, and have little time to look after their children. There are lots of
families in the city that both the father and mother have their own work. They
need to go to office from Monday to Friday, and left their children at home
without custody. It is so boring to play alone at home so the children turn to
the television finally, without parents' limit. After a whole day of work, parents
often feel tired and have no energy to care the children. Thus, communication
between parents and children, which is crucial during the growing period of
children, is severely reduced due to the parents' busy work. Children are easy
to be influenced by other things, like television, and their behavior is often
motivated by curiosity. Parents should talk to the kids, know their ideas, help
them to learn what is right or wrong, and hence lead them to a good life,
otherwise children may feel lonely or helpless, rely on the television or
something else instead of their parents, and consequently, become out of
control.

    

 
Although the wide spread of television and other media has a great
influence on children, it is not the final reason that raise the problem. If parents
could spend more time with the kids and keep them carefully, bad influences
from outside can be eliminated to a great extent.
