Comparing with applicants from China, your US degree and working experience could make u stand out. Additionally, you have been in the US for 8 years, hence I guess you must be having a US green card or at least at the stage of I-485 pending. So, when you apply for B-school, you will be treated as US applicants and they will lower the  GMAT requirement for you.

I think you have very good odds to be accepted by top10.

I don't think GMAT is a problem to me.  What I'm concerning is whether my background is too weak.

Thanks for your reply.

我原来也是这么想的。真实的情况,把你放在美国人里面比,弊大于利。你只有在 GMAT 上面可能占些便宜,但是写 essay,面试临场发挥,这两个方面很难比得过老美。至于你的 US degree 和 US work experience 就更没什么优势了;老美谁没有呀。

如果真要 stand out,回国在 motorola 做个 team lead,还比较有可能。

Are you sure they group applicants by citizenship or green card? If that is true, I can abondon my GC.

BTW, do you know any team lead openning in Motorola China?

Thanks.
