i m not sure what kind of person can apply EMBA, top manager.?  Can a business manager -middle level,  apply for EMBA?

i wish to get systematic education on business. I have been in internatonal business for more than 10 years,  without formal educaton in business.

i also wish to get back to shool at this age and learn sth new for. it is another kind of challenge!!!!

I think you can try E-MBA with CEIBS in Shanghai. For E-MBA, you can work and study at the same time. I think it's better for you if your purpose is to learn some new management stuff.

For MBA, average age for most top school is 28, so your chance is quite slim. Actually, you may feel difficult to enjoy MBA when people around you are too different from you, not only their age, but also their opinions, their interestes, and their life/work styles.

The key is why you need a MBA? If you want to work for someone and have a better job,or if you already rich enough just want to enjoy the MBA, it may be an option for you. If you want to build your own company, MBA may not be the option. Actually many of very successful entrepreneurs do not have a MBA. As your age, time is not in your side and you may have to think more carefully than the young people do.Many top schools also have programs specific for 30+ people, such as MIT sloan and harvard JFK school.

Some people at your age apply and get admitted. Depends on your own story and reasons. Good luck

possible. But you need to have a good story. I can't find that in your comments above as what you are saying is the process (to learn sth), not the result related to business (for your job?).

I do have two classmates aged about 40-42: one is GM of a consulting firm, the other is CEO of a VC backed company.

I think your story and dream is more important than your age. Schools may reject your because of your story, rather than your age.
