What discovery in the last century has been most beneficial for your compatriot?

  Since the industrial Revolution in the 18^th century, mankind has set a new mind-blowing rate for the development of the new technoloies. New products, as is so often pointed out, always bring a salutary impact on our world. Nevertheless , I do strongly support that the most beneficial invention, over the last hundred years is the Internet..

  Initially with the invention of the Internet, our lives become increasingly easier. Because, due to the Internet,there are vast numbers of ideas, such modern service as online shopping, chatroom and air school appear in our lives. A case in point is that e-book, as a product of the internet, offer a easy way to read.. E-book, a fiction or nonfiction text that is distributed and read in digital form usually on a computer or handheld display device,
            are downloaded to a computer or a reading device through a modem or other Internet connection. According to a famous website, e-book has numerous advantages over traditional printed book. E-book devices can hold the texts of many different books at one time, making them popular with students or professionals who have to carry or consult many reference materials, technical manuals, or textbooks. Also,e-book allows the reader to select from various type sizes, search the text, switch quickly between books, and access stored reference works to look up unfamiliar words or concepts. In addition, without the worry about the high costs of printing and distribution, first-time authors or those who write on lesser-known topics can have an effective way to get their books prevolent.

   Moreover the Internet has contributed to develop the global business. The internet, as is well-known to everyone, change the very way businesses operate, bringing efficiency and convinient to work. One of the obvious achievement is the e-mail. E-mail reslove the problem about the communication between international corporations. It allows corporations exchange tremendous information in a fast way.

   Consequently, can you imagine a world without the website ? what will you feel if there is no e-mail or other communication tools available except the old-style telephone and surface mail? How the society develop in a low-speed world without the great internet? At least these situations can drive me crazy. So all the evidence supports an unmistakable conclusion that the Internet is the most beneficial invention over the last hundred years..

                theory在这里不是理论的意思，而是“说法”）most beneficial invention, over the last hundred years is the Internet.

第一段写得还是蛮不错！虽然不是很具体，但是至少没有落入老套的模版的窠臼。

谢谢但有个问题是说例子都说自己的吗e-book的例子也要加上身边的例子吗

只要是具体的可以体现网络优点的例子都可以举

或者你描写一个没有网络的事件的样子,然后再说sound horrible(听起来很恐怖吧!),就可以开始你的论述了
