PhD申请材料寄出时间何时为佳？
有的学校材料说要申请教学金截止日期12月初，普通截止日期在1月。有些学校也有奖学金，却没有截止日期上的区别。什么时候寄出为好呢？越早越好还是有个比较普遍使用的规律，如提前一个月之类？

11月中旬是比较保险的。
大多数截止日期是：12月31日，1月15日和2月1日
有个别学校比较变态的是12月1日如IU
有的学校是材料到了就审核，那么这种情况当然越早越好，因为有可能他们已经有了合意的人选晚到的人就没机会了，而有的学校(很多）是要截止日期到后才统一审核材料，那么这样就无所谓了，只要在DEADLINE之前就可以了。

For PHD program, few schools review your application before the deadline.
Generally, BS gives applicants about 2 weeks leeway to mail transcripts and recommendation after the deadling but you should submit your application before deadline.
Generally, top 20 begins to review applications in Feb.; top 50 review applications in mid of March; others make decision before April 15.
Even BS review your application material, no decision will be made before deadline.
But it is a good idea to talk to coordinator or prof. in person as early as possible.

thanks for the information. But I'm still busy preparing application material. Haven't talked to any faculty, didn't plan to.

看你用什么寄了吧。DHL2天就OK了。但不能正好赶在圣诞前，因为过节而产生的邮件量也是很大的。

能不能先给学校寄申请材料，然后再递交GMAT成绩啊。我要是1月份参加GMAT考试还能赶上04 9月的入学么？
