Use specific reasons and details to support your choice. Everyone has his favorite place and impressive time in the past for his experience or personality, the place where interests me most is China in Sui dynasty. You may ask me why I choose this period neither the weakest nor the most prosperous empire in the history to talk about. I'll explain my opinions as follows. Sui unified China for the first time since the fall of Han dynasty. It ends the disunity which leads to wars, economic decline and a drastic decrease in population It not only has the widest territory of all the dynasties of China but also do a great deal to the coming boom of Tang dynasty. In a word, an old chapter full of depression and sorrow is gone and a new chapter with peace and great begins from this dynasty.. At the same time, there're such a lot of projects launched to develop the economic and politic situations as well. One of the most ambitious government projects was building a canal named Grand River which connects the Yellow river and Yangzi river.It benefits for the commentary trade and culture communication between the south and the north area of China. In order to pick out more competent officials serving the government, Sui makes a new and effective system which is focus on exam to check the ability of official-hunters. It is more fair than the methods used before called lineage and maintains thousands of years. Because all of the reasons I mentioned before, I'd rather go back to China in Sui dynasty. I’m eager to see the senses of Grand River and original officials exams. Though Sui keeps a short time, existing for less than 40years, its achievements influences a lot to the development of the country. It often ranks among the important. （313）
