96. E为什么不对？我觉得D中 it 指代不明。

97.  A为什么不对？我觉得B中 while 后无主语呀？

我觉得96题E最大的问题是把can换成的possbile，句子意思完全变了。D中it确实有指代不清的嫌疑。
97题，应该是insect control introduce dangerous chemical pollutants，不是industrialization and moderm methods.所以they指代错误，A错，C错。D选项but引导的不是一个完整的句子，E同理。
我印象中while是可以像B这样的用法。

96题：我支持LZ的看法，我觉得it指代the number，显然逻辑不通，E比较好

97题：我认为A的错误在于一句话中两个they指代了不同的内容，这样造成了指代歧义。（前面的they指methods；后面的they指pollutants）；而B就避免了这个问题。
