E中比较对象错误之外，with的用法应该也是错的，with more than 300 rivers draining into it, draining into it作300 rivers的后置定语，去掉这部分之后句子主干就是S’ LB, with more than 300 rivers, holds 20 percent of the world's fresh water. with修饰前边的lake了，可本应表达的句意不是“和”的关系，句意错误

E中把最开始的more than...去掉之后，with是夹在S和V之间的，我认为这时with时修饰Subject lake的。如果是独立主格的话应该是放在main clause之前或者之后吧，不能插到main clause里

A选项中开头的more than 可以做主语？感觉A 不是一个完整的句子呀。主谓宾的没有。more than+modifier+more than

1. with 用法正确。
with 这里是个 noun - modifer.
RON: if "with ____" is modifying xxxxx, then it should be describing some aspect, or sub-component, of xxxxx.
在这儿， with more than 300 rivers draining into it 在修饰 some aspect of lake baikal.

2. E 错在句意上
Lake Baikal is more than all the North American Great Lakes combined
直译就是：Lake Baikal 大于 五大湖相加
不太清楚究竟在表达什么。所以是错的。

D. While more than 300 rivers drain into it, Siberia's Lake
            Baikal holds 20 percent of the world's fresh water, which is more than all the North American Great Lakes combined. （这里的while 很奇怪 是在表示转折吗？感觉题目没有在表达转折的意思。并且后面的which 引导的定语从句 不能引导前面的整个句子，如果which 要做定语从句引导词的话 指代的只能是freshwater）

E. More than all the North American Great Lakes combined, Siberia's Lake
                Baikal, with more than 300 rivers draining into it, holds 20 percent of the world's fresh water. （整个句子的主谓宾是西伯利亚湖holds 20 percent of the world's fresh water 感觉没有和原文强调的很符合 原文更有强调比美国的湖都多）

以上是我个人的见解哈 虽然A选项读起来不通顺 但是从构造句子和句意逻辑上来说比其他选项更优
