这道题答案是Ｂ．关于doing位于句末的两种用法，这里显然不符合doing的主语是主句的主语，再者，从句意上理解，weight应该和length平行吧，所以也不是表结果．请教各位ＮＮ给个解释．

the first problem is talking about the drive-ins, which should be modified by many, not by amount;  you can not use "as many" which is wrong, the correct idiom is "as many as". So the correct answer is A. "one quarter that many", here "that many" refers to "4000 existed in the United states".
