Yes, in China few people hear of Brandeis, and due to the information limitation, applicants pull a relative high weight of ranking in deciding what programs to go. Ranking is important, so is the location. Brandeis enjoys a great place, in Boston, and a nice network from the Brandeis' alumni. Career/job placement situation is always the most important criteria for almost every ranking, so if Brandeis can maintain its good performance in this regard, we can expect to see Brandeis take a nice place in the major rankings soon.
