It is no doubt that hard works top on the lists of factors necessary for success. Nevertheless, luck also exercises influence on one’s achievements.

Without luck, more efforts may be needed to achieve a goal. Problems to be solved can often be divided into a number of possible situations. Solutions may come out of one of the situations so that you have to try every possibility. If luck is with you, you may target the result at the first try while the solution won’t be touched until the last minute without luck.

Additionally, to a certain extent you have to rely on luck to succeed sometimes. Man proposes, God disposes. Usually, there are quit a few factors in a task that are uncertain ahead of time. Hard works can only make sure that the conditions which can be prepared are well prepared. The random items are left to luck to handle. For instance, supposing you have the hobby of fishing in your free time. In order to catch more fish in your practices, you can buy the most advanced equipments, prepare the best baits and master all the skills of fishing. All the preparations can absolutely give you a bigger chance to catch more fish. However, it is hardly possible that you can target your aim every time. The amount of fish will vary a lot. Who lead to the differences from time to time? The answer is luck. Luck plays an important role in your fishing.

I think, the intention of people who deny the existence of luck is not really to deny, but to encourage. Although luck has something to do without one’s success, one shouldn’t rely on luck. Abandoned by luck, one may hardly get success while merely with luck and lacking of hard works, intelligence and experience, one is doomed to fail. Therefore, attention should be focused on things that can be take under control such as information seeking and materials preparing.
