A: were谓语重复，应该去掉

B: correct，connected分词修饰句子主语settlements

C: 第二个of修饰Structures不对，应该修饰scale；each同位语从句用过去完成时没必要，

D: 第二个of修饰Structures不对，应该修饰scale；and with each没有平行对象，

E: 第二个of修饰Structures不对，应该修饰scale；each后面是完整句子但没有连词 

注意：

1、The Anasazi settlements at Chaco Canyon were built on a spectacular scale of up to 600 rooms each, connected by a complex regional system of roads. each指The Anasazi settlements

2、介词的修饰对象、插入语、逗号+过去分词的用途及修饰对象

1、ACE的句子结构都有问题：A中的第二个were多余，前面已经有谓语were built…；C中each that…，each是名词，后跟that引导的定语从句，该定语从句省去后只余下一个名词；E有两套主谓结构，settlement…were built on…… each had been connected，中间没有连词；

2、D中的and with前面没有平行对象；

3、CDE中的of短语没有合适的修饰对象；

4、正确答案B中的of up to 600 rooms each是插入语，修饰structures，正常语序应该为：each of the structures has up to 600 rooms。
