Darden我要不要去

说实话，家人不太懂得，我妈妈没听说过斯坦福呢（虽然我妈妈是世界上最好的妈妈）。。。流汗。。。

所以还是自己想，说服他们。我觉得Darden非常好，我曾经问过美国人，他说Darden是一所很好的学校。不一定非要top5的，chensjyale和fingule(忘了咋拼了)说的对，美国是不像中国那么计较出身的，关键是Darden会给你一个机会，就看你自己了。高兴一下，别没精打采的。

俺外公听说俺要去读那劳什子MBA很是伤心了一阵，老人家一辈子的心愿就是孙辈里能出个文化人，可不是做生意的。。。同样，你的家人对商学院的了解恐怕比较有限，不能作为你选择的参考。（除非你要从他们那里争取投资，那就要好好做个商业计划了，描绘光辉的职业前景。）

DARDEN有南方的HBS之称，可见其地位。楼主自己决定吧。

俺老娘对我读MBA有些担心，毕竟是近百万人民币的投资，不过好像阻力没你家人那么大。

Darden确实是所好学校，光校友的热情就令人难忘。正因如此，我才自己跟自己较劲，到现在还在考虑和选择。楼主如果只有Darden一个offer，个人建议还是去，不必再等一年。

A few thoughts (not exactly organized ones)

1. It's your life.  It'll be a very difficult and tiring one if you need votes of confidence from everyone around you every step of the way.

2. How do you define "a better school"? 

   a. One that is well-known by the general public?  What about a school in China that everyone has heard of?  Is that a better school?

   b. One with a higher ranking?  In what?  Every school has its shining points.  What matters most to you?

   c. One that is a better fit?  How would you know?  Have you spent time to evaluate Darden, talk to the students, the various offices, or even visit the school (much smaller investment comparing to two years of your life, not to mention a lot of money) ?

3. If you're worried about the job market, have you researched to companies/industries you're interested in?  How does Darden's job placement compare?  What do your future employers think of Darden?
