UMichi是最近若干年accounting placement风头最劲的一家了，看看他家placement就知道了。不少牛人都是直接面试都没有就被拒了。不过今年走了两个最牛的教授，元气大伤了。

LZ申请了会计PHD。有些问题想请教一下。

我现在是拿了Master of Accountancy 和Master of Science in Accounting的AD，想读完Master后申请会计PHD，看了你的帖子你对这方面很有经验，有问题希望得到你的帮助。
        

1：申请PHD时是不是很看重你的Master在那个学校读的吗？我现在就是比较好的学校没有奖，名字比较后的学校就有给我奖学金。要是我将来读完Master,要申请PHD会计，是不是要选择Master of Science in Accounting来读，不可以选择Master of Accountancy来读？

2：你是不是一上M.A in Accoutning时就开始着手申请PHD？因为现在我申请的Master是一年的，签证也只能有一年的时间。

3：在你的帖子上说到你找了一个教授跟他做Research,一般是你自己自动和教授说让你去做吗？这个在Master阶段找教授做Research是不是在申请PHD的过程中占有比较重要的地位。因为我在申请Master的阶段也去陶了一个系里的教授，我想要是最后我选择去这所学校，好不好找这个教授去做Research？你可以在这方面给我多一点建议吗？如何在读Master的时候做的更好让申请PHD的时候比较好把握。

4：你在你的帖子上说到你的二个硕士拿到的CPA都是3。9。3。9是不是好难拿到？当然除了认真读书，做research外，你在这一方面有那些比较好的意见，可以教教我吗？毕竟申请PHD对Master的GPA也是很重要.

不好意思，一下字那么多的问题希望得到你的意见，这样也许有助于我申请会计的PHD。

1. I answered this question in last thread. I can talk more on this if you tell us the school names.
2. Mine is two year program. If it's a one year program, it's very tough for you.
3. Research experience is helpful but not the key. To get a high GPA, and then consider research experience.
4. I feel it's not that difficult.

从现在观察的情况来看，确实如此。

去查一下top journal publication作者的出身就知道了

他们一般都出自top programs

Because my undergraduate was Accounting, I applied for M.S in Accounting only just one year to study. Could you give me more details regarding the meaning of red word?

For one year program, remember that you have to finish your application work by the end of your first semester. The experience is too short and you may not even get adapted to the U.S. If you have decided to go to that program, I suggest you get a good GPA and try to get good recommendation from professors.
