请问这样的profile能否申请到top10 MBA

A bachelor's degree from a leading Chinese university. ~2 yrs as an analyst in the management/operation consulting team of a big 5 consulting (IBM/Accenture/Deloitte/BearingPoint/Capgemini). 2 yrs as an analyst in a not famous PE. GPA 80, TOEFL and GMAT OK.

I'm not sure whether the PE experience will add value to applying for a top notch bschool, because the firm is not famous.

I'm hesitating whether to accept the PE offer or not...For I'll be promoted soon if I stay in the current firm.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Stanford values PE a lot. Harvard might, but not other finance-focused schools

i think pe experience is very valuable since very few people have pe experience even in the top 3 business schools. i don't think experience in big 5 is challenging enough, and also can't make you outstanding in your job hunting in business school. if you have pe experience+consulting, then you will be very popular.
believe me, there is no difference between your pe and famous local pe e.g. cdh. people just know it's a pe, unless you work in kkr, bain capital, black stone etc.

in job seeking, companies are interested in what you have done (e.g. leverage buyout deals), rather than where you work, unless you work in top tier ib or strategic consulting firm (not big 5!).

There's no formula for your life. Regardless of what route, you have to do your best and demonstrate your values. If you go to Stanford, you are expected to find a better job with a MUCH HIGHER EXPECTATION, if you think you can handle that, go for it. it's your life
