I took GMAT and got a 680 (M50, V31), do you think I should re-take or just focus on other parts of my kellogg application? Besides, what do you think of the importance of TOEFL score in the whole application? What is the average GMAT and TOEFL for successful Chinese applicants?
You'd bettere get 700 or above if your other parts are not so strong, but you are strong enough, 680 is pretty good one. TOFEL is not a big deal as we will interview everyone, so even you have a high TOEFL score, if you are not doing well in interviews, you may not get in either. As for the average scores, I think you can check out CPN's surveys.
Given equal w/e and test scores, will someone graduated from a normal college be significantly less competitive than a guy from a top tier(Tsing Hua/Beida/Fudan...) school?
How much percent of kellogg chinese students are from those top tier colleges?
No. Your work experience and interview results counts more, though we do have more people from Tsinghua, Peking U, Fudan, Jiaotong than other universities. However, if you are not from a top tier univeristy in China and your work experience is so so and nothing special abou you, then you might have problem convincing the admissions that you will succeed.
You graduated from the school and return to china, May I ask why? What kind of position you are having right now? Have you ever had any working experience in US? Sorry I am being really blunt here. I would understand it if you do not want to answer the questions.
Kellogg_MBA, How do you compare Kellogg with Chicago? I am thinking about applying one of them but haven't decided which one to go. I heard that Chicago is very famous for its finance, but know a little about Kellogg.
