3. If you could be present at any event in time, what would it be and why?

I think somewhat you are right. by this essay, they want you to show your creativity. but I don't think it is only some kind of sifi.

right now I have no example, but use this essay to make a difference.

The more I work on Chicago's essay, the more I am convinced they just try to give you hard time not to be able to copy from other schools' essays.

Last time, I went to UChicago for info session. A second year student mentioned that the most important essays are #1 & 2 (why MBA, why Chicago, etc). The other two essays are sort of "not-so-important". Although it may just be his personal opinion, hopefully it can give you some comfort - don't spend too much time and it does not have to be scifi. I did not relate the issue to any famous people or big event.
