lecture = professor does most of hte talk.

Yeah, I agree, research jobs require skills of making quatatives.  Sounds not bad.  Researchers have more stable life, suitable for an old woman like me....  Thanks for this good point.

Well, in western countries, even in a lecture, students can speak a lot and can interrupt anytime when prosfessors talk..hehehe....  That's my experience in UK, not sure in US....proabably different... Thanks for clarification.
