Duke VS Ross offer 如何选择，非常迷茫！

多谢eds更正。Duke的undergraduate排名的确比Michigan高，非常著名。我接触的都是graduates，有bias：）。我的本意是考虑一下排名的resource和base，才能作为比较中肯的参考。

论本科排名emory, vandy, washington都比berkeley, UM, Darden好，不过没见谁会因为本科排名, prefer 前三个over后三个吧？

总体而言，公立学校研究生比较强，私立学校本科比较强，（除了ivey league那几所世界名校），所以选mba, pls compare apple with apple.

个人认为ross比duke好一点啦，that is my 2 cents.

jpwy2004，不知道你说duke rank高的数据在哪里。Michigan作为一所综合性的大学来说，排名在全美是非常靠前的。众所周知b-school在Michigan算是排名靠后的了。Michigan的engineering school，law school，music school，medical school排名非常top，其中很多专业都是数一数二的。

我并不想用排名来比较两所学校，不过必须指出事实撒。

    我知道你的热心，在这里也表达对你的尊重，我这里的排名是general ranking，另外如果研究生的学科排名，我承认Michigan比DUKE要高。但是如BROWN等在研究生排名中不靠前，本科教育为重点，但是在老美的眼中不失为一个美国好学校。另外我的老师就是Michigan的硕士（教育学），在我申请的过程中给了很大的帮助，期间大力推荐Michigan的MBA，也说明了Michigan是个好学校。另外排名也是参考，我同意确实的了解下两个学校的特点再做决定。适合你的就是最好的。

再请教您，ross关于financial aid的信息什么时候才能有消息？

有几位同志说duke的5000刀的奖学金很generous

为什么啊？个人认为并不多啊？

HBS didn't invite me for interview

Columbia invited me, but I was dinged 7 days after the interview, really sigh!

For Columbia is kind of my favorite school in view of my media background!

jpwy2004，多谢回复，排名不重要撒，Duke也是非常好的学校，两所学校其实真的挺不同的，in terms of很多方面。Michigan的研究生比较强，所以我平时接触别的学院的学生的时候，连说到top3有时候都要被他们白眼，说我们是top2或top1，汗啊。被培训的比较敏感。

说到老美眼中的好学校，我觉得跟国内的认知还是有一些不同。好像老美普遍比较喜欢west coast学校，不管排名是多少，不知道为什么。

for mba program, both schools have similar class size (400-500), similar location setting (in a college town, not in a big city), similar focus (GM, Marketing). Duke is team-oriented, while ross is action-oriented. I dont really know the difference. I would go to the one that gives me more money if i were you.

你说的那几个学校没有可比性，因为MBA的排名差很多

但DUKE和ROSS的MBA 真的差不多，所以看学校排名还是有意义的。

DUKE 和ROSS 真的很难选啊

我个人会选DUKE，因为我ROSS都没申，嘿嘿。感觉DUKE是比ROSS好玩的学校。

Well, to be honest, I will go for Duke. I used to like Michigan, but (accidentally?)this school appeared to be arrogant to its applicant (to me at least). Just hard to imagine [1] how can a top b school be like this? and [2] if the school treated its applicant this way, how can we believe it will prioritize students' needs in the future?
