因为俺的SHORT TERM GOAL 是 GENERAL MANAGER OF A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY 当然是在CHINA。

这是你的short term goal? 那为什么把这个shortterm goal当作现实来说,As a General Manager of a multinational company, I was always at a tough schedule.

如果我没理解错的话,你这样说实在叫人想不明白捏,把梦想说成现实有**的成分?

Maybe I am just too picky. While, anyway, you have the right to say any words to piss them off.

It looks that you have a decent background, and you can get the offer from some other schools. Just let it be and do not loose your temper that easily.

Good luck~

to LZ,

as to what reflects from your mail content(just from your mail readers' angle of view ):

generally "general manager of a MNC company" is sure very big title at the first glance, even though many of us know that there are many kinds of such general mangers. For example, just a localized branch mananger of a MNC might be such, though it has the least possibility.

However, I guess that the company under your controll might have less than 100 employees(I'm just saying that it is small enough compared with the MNC general manager title) since you are still in pursuit of a so called MBA education(that means your duty and responsibility are easy to be discarded), and since you managed to sort it into top 5000? company.

therefore, to say so(general manager of an MNC) is aggressive enough but somehow not so professional and not so impressive to the admission veteran.

so maybe , just maybe , it's the reason they back your mail in such a halfhearted manner.

I'm not commenting on the rejection to your application.

(BTW: I'm in the same situation as you, except that I am an owner of small private company that only employs 47 people.(I should say it is really very profitable when compared with any salary earner position I can get),so when I did my application essays I really thought many things over.the company is so small that I even left the "general manager" 's title away both in my essay and my resume" in one version of my application package)

and at last sorry for any offence that derives from unawareness problem in the sentences above.

I'm sorry about what happened but it really is a bitter, whiny, and unprofessional email no matter how you look at it.  The word choices are very negative, the tone defensive, some of the sentences awkward, not to mention mechanical errors.  30 hours of sleep is pretty normal for MIT kids, and some get as little as single digit for the entire week.

It's great that you have been trying so hard to pursue your MBA dream various obstacles including your busy work schedule and you probably will have an even better shot next year but I think you just burned your bridges to this program with that email.  Hope you will get good news from other places!

u'd better act being humble in front of real bull, and being bull in front of not so bull ones.

Dear Mr. XXXXX:

 Thanks for your reply!

lease pardon me since I am a little bit puzzled by the whole procedure. For the past 4 months, my application status on your online application website has never been changed. I sent 2 E mails and left 1 message in the voice mail box but didn’t get any feed back. I made a phone call yesterday and your staff told me that my material was still under evaluation. And 3 hours later, I got the mail from you.

I should believe that my application material has been carefully reviewed, shouldn’t I?

No matter what, I have taken a lot of time and passion in the past 2 years. As a General Manager of a multinational company, I was always at a tough schedule. Most of my application preparation was done in the airplanes in business trips or in the late nights after all day meetings. Sometime, I had to sleep 30 hours a week to catch up the schedules.

The only reason I did so is because I do believe that the xxxx MBA program will greatly help to achieve my career goals and a top Business School like xxxx will certainly review my application material carefully to find out my qualifications.

I still believe so. But anyway, it is your decision and I hope it is not the one that both of us will feel regret.

 Yours Sincerely

XXXXXX

>>Dear xxxx

 >>I understand from my staff that you did not receive our electronic decision.  Unfortunately the news from xxxschool was not a good one.  I will ask one of our assistant directors to resend your letter.

 >>With best wishes and regards,

>>xxxxx

>>Director of MBA Admissions

I think you had the right to complain in an offensive way after you sent them emails and left them message yet got no feedback. They might have been busy, but you as a customer have the right to claim your own respect as well.
