to LZ, as to what reflects from your mail content(just from your mail readers' angle of view ): generally "general manager of a MNC company" is sure very big title at the first glance, even though many of us know that there are many kinds of such general mangers. For example, just a localized branch mananger of a MNC might be such, though it has the least possibility. However, I guess that the company under your controll might have less than 100 employees(I'm just saying that it is small enough compared with the MNC general manager title) since you are still in pursuit of a so called MBA education(that means your duty and responsibility are easy to be discarded), and since you managed to sort it into top 5000? company. therefore, to say so(general manager of an MNC) is aggressive enough but somehow not so professional and not so impressive to the admission veteran. so maybe , just maybe , it's the reason they back your mail in such a halfhearted manner. I'm not commenting on the rejection to your application. (BTW: I'm in the same situation as you, except that I am an owner of small private company that only employs 47 people.(I should say it is really very profitable when compared with any salary earner position I can get),so when I did my application essays I really thought many things over.the company is so small that I even left the "general manager" 's title away both in my essay and my resume" in one version of my application package) and at last sorry for any offence that derives from unawareness problem in the sentences above. |
