但根据OG11 第四题 double the figure places the emphasis of the sentence on the number 

double 不用在被动中。故D错。可以作为adj ...is double..

B前面少了has been ，其实 increased ...two times is reduntant.

E had doubled... is not suitable here to use past perfect tense.

A....?

so B can be accepted as the a correct one.

According to American Heritage dictionary, "than" is either a conjunction or a preprostion.

But neither of these usage can explain why "more than" is used to modify the verb "double".

Who can explain this?
