Cranfield vs CASS

Just got the offer from Cranfield.

I prefer the program with tight relationship with the industry than purely academic strong. Not very much interested in entrepreneurship. Prefer to work in UK after the degree.

Any advice on the choice between Cranfield B-School and CASS?

I went to Cass receiving interview during spring festival. The surrounding is very impressive. I can feel the program relates with finance very tightly. and there's not many Chinese student. In 2005, there's even no MBA student from China.

However, I'm wondering the placement after the program. Caz compared to the candidates from Uk and Europe, Chinese students seem do not have any ads to be enrolled by big IB or fanancial companies there in UK. but it's related to individual very much.

Yes, Cass locates in the heard of the 'City', and you may get free copy of 'City AM' on the way to your classes. This is definitely an advantage of it.

I have also heard that there are not many chinese students and I am wondering the reason for this. Among the only two in year 2004, one is with outstanding GMAT/academic scores, and the other is with good work experience and Chevening support.

Though it is said Cass MBA, or in broader term CASS as a whole, is reputable in particularly Finance, no Chinese students in recent years (as far as I aware) has joined IB after the degree. Probably this is caused by none of them chose to do so.

Anyway CASS is highly recommended by its alunmi.

But, just wonder, have you visisted Cranfield? Crandfiled is located in a small town. The life of there might be a little bit boring. If you are living in a big city, when you be crandfiled you might aks yourself why I chose here.

As I know, the placement in IB is very very competitive. w/e,english skill,individual character are all involved in the consideration by the recruiters.

For me, I don't wanna put all eggs in just one basket. However, if you just hold offers of Cass and Cranfield and interested in finance, so Cass should be your choice.
