nutshell是什么啊?

个人的感觉是：

对中国的土人来说（比如我）， 写作是无法在一到两年内从美国高中生水平提高到美国大学毕业生水平的。只有拼命的写， 然后被无数多次退回来改的过程当中升华。

不好意思， 又没有捷径。

写作没有捷径。只有多读，多写。

如果你人在美国，可以选修一些社区大学的英文写作课。课程设置选材还都很不错的，而且老师可以给你意见建议，这样就会不断有进步。 比如哈佛继续教育学院就有Expository Writing Program， 你可以选择Fundamentals of Composition，Fundamentals of Academic Writing， Academic Writing and Critical Reading 等等， 教课的老师也教哈佛本科生，所以教学质量还是很高的。我因为大学是学理科的，大学连语文都没有修。（我们大学语文老师有限，高考成绩高于一定分数就不让修。让我一直遗憾到如今。）我选过前两门课，正在修Academic Writing and Critical Reading, 我觉得对我帮助很大。

你是法学院的，你的写作能力应该是很好的呀。我们理工科的人才需要担心嘛。

And I paid the above English classes out of my own pocket and all the courses are evening classes.

If you are already in law school, I don't think you will have to take other writing classes. (And you don't have time either. :-))  I think those courses are good for people who are planning to apply law school and for science major students who are not educated in English in college.

BTW, I checked the nutshell series on amazon.com. The comments are very negative on the series.

写作不需要太担心,现在法学院都提倡plain language,只要句法准确,是不影响成绩的
