Ranking is not everything. For example, the big 4 accounting firms in San Francisco hire many graduates from local schools like USF, UC Sata Barbara, Sata Clara University, CSU Hayward, and Golden Gate University. They hire many people from Brigham Young and and CSU San Luis Obispo too. Also remember that most recruitors in the above schools' regions should know about their rankings. But recruitors in other parts of the country may not. For example, recruitors in California may not recruit in Texas and have no idea that UT-Austin is a good accounting program.
