[求助]kellogg的面试被waive了，怎么办

凶多吉少了，虽然信写的很客气，是不是基本就没有希望了，这学校开始不是说都有的面试吗？

估计是今年申请人特别多的缘故。

Why do you feel the waive of interview is a negative sign for the final decision? Maybe the high volume of the applications does make it impossible to interview all the applicants.

我所知道的一个例子是开始被Kellogg waive interview，后来admission office的人直接打电话面试，最后录取了。所以，如果在决定出来前都没有面试恐怕才真是凶多吉少。

我本来不觉得waive可怕,不过看到kellogg问答里好像说waive后,录取就成了小概率事件才觉得有那么点严重,我觉得我能做的就是发各mail问问能不能telephone interview老.反正自己尽力了,不多担心.

That means an interview is to schedule when a favorable decision is to make in due course. BTW, anyone knows invitation for interview is arranged before or after the application review?

If interview invitation is released after review, it may be reasonable to assume the interview waive be a negative signal.

All, my penny thoughts.

since we don't know how the process works, all the above thoughts about interview waiving is only speculation. What we can do is actually nothing but wait, i don't think our request for a telephone interview will significantly change our application status, at the end of the day, they will admit you even if they can't arrange interview for you. Let's be positive and keep on our preparation.

我本来也是校友面试，因为校友没空，昨晚收到了waive通知。

打电话去问过，应该不必紧张。这基本是按照先约先得的原则。但是如果像我一样重新约，就要和后面所有的人一样放到系统中去排队。因为今年申请的人多，而北京和上海的校友已经完成了他们的面试quota，所以没有再多的义务帮助我们面试了。如果在录取过程中，他们觉得有不清楚的地方，会和我们约电话面试的。还有，给我们发面试通知和waive通知的coordinators,是看不到我们的part 1部分的，只知道名字和提交日期，所以大家不必太多虑。
