Questions about Wharton Alumni Interview

收到了wharton的interview invitation，准备预约alumni interview，其间有个小小的疑惑想请教大家：

我一月下旬从senior consultant promote到manager，这无疑是一个证明我的performance的supportive evidence, 但是我有一些小小的concern...

1，面试者可能认为你刚刚被promote，立刻去读MBA不是很好的时机，这样我回答why now要多费一些周折

2，面试者会从一个manager的角度来衡量你，下意识的对你的评估条件更加严格

2，有听到一些说法，似乎wharton会觉得manager title is a bit too much...

不知道我是否多虑了。谢谢大家指点。

Looks like you work in an audting firm.  Hehehe, maybe PwC.

Well, I guess you don't need to worry about this.  Be true to youself and to your interviewer.  That's it.

Here's my take

it depends on your long-term career goal, if it doesn't hurt your path towards your future goal, why not demonstrate your promotion in front of the interviewer? At the end of the day, it's how impressive your overall package is and how reasonable you want an MBA.

As a general rule, that makes sense. Anyway, I think I will just be natural. As the saying goes, 关心则乱.

Agree with Camelhill. Showing your promotion to a manager position might impress the interviewer on your leadership potential. Recent pomotion does not necessarily change your pursuit of MBA. Well prepare the questions - why MBA; why now and why this school. You should be fine!
