I remember a top school, the admission statistic only said, the quantitative part of GRE is 790 or above, and not even mention the verbal part.

看数学部分是针对大多数学生来说的 很多老美数学部分只有600甚至还不到 但是verbal不错 中国学生正好相反 所以 凸显你优势 的 就是verbal

verbal高对于综合评价你的阅读能力也是至关重要的

Frankly speaking, you have a very slim chance to get admitted by phd in b-school(top 50). I recommend you apply stat phd first and then transfer to b-school with stat master and strong recommendation from american professors. the average year of phd stundents in b-school is around 26

我想每一位说的都很有道理，关键还是走好每一步
其实，中国大陆的本科生每年申请到的商科PhD也不算少
而且如果能在美国读完TOP10的硕士，应该不是没有可能
我想我会在出国之前考完GMAT，同时多为硕士阶段做准备练练口语看看专业书籍

只要努力了，就不会再有遗憾

虽然结果还没有下来，但是我想请问了解商科的人士们帮我解答一下
经济和统计 哪一个更靠近商科
读过之后让我的背景更加strong一点
（我个人倾向于念经济，因为统计硕士的内容跟我本科四年学的很多重复，读了就是复习）

I am sorry about my last reply. I take b-school phd roughly equal to finance phd and now I realize there are several departments in b-school(even stat, ft), so what I said concerned finance deparment only.

I think econ master will be best choice if you don't need financial aid otherwise pick phd degree. And also, the choice should depend on the rank of the school, overally. for example, you should accept stanford stat instead of pen state econ. Last, the b-school in your chosen university is tremendously important because you can think  that as a backup. (taoci with professors face to face in the first year of your ma study)

我想知道finance的要求，如果是finance PHD在读的话更好～

今天打了个电话，学姐说她们学校finance 竞争惨烈，一年招收3～4个学生
而且偏向要求GRE，但是作为国际学生verbal好像要求没有本土人高
毕竟美国人简简单单看1～2星期verbal都是600＋
