我受到了TUCK的拒信,分享一下:

很nice呀,

February 2, 2007

Dear Uncle,

Thank you for applying to the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.  After much thought and careful consideration, I regret to inform you that we are unable to grant your request for admission to the Tuck Class of 2009.

It is often difficult to fully appreciate the competition for admission to Tuck.  Our decision is not a reflection on your intellectual abilities, personal achievements or potential success in management.  The factors that most often contributed to our decision to not admit an applicant were the rigorous competition created by a strong applicant pool and our commitment to maintain a small class size.  This year抯 pool is exceptionally strong.  We know that many of the applicants who were not granted admission possess excellent characteristics that will serve them well in business school and beyond.

I sincerely appreciate your interest in Tuck and all the time and thought that went into your application.  You have my genuine best wishes for success in achieving your future goals.

Warmest regards,

Dawna Clarke

Director of Admissions

Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth

unclezzy,

Sorry to hear this. In what round did you apply to Tuck? Did you have an interview with Tuck?

Believe you will get over the temporary setback in your efforts. Good luck!

Boy, hold on.  Not the end of world. Take easy. Wish you good luck with other schools!

We both are in the Nov round.  I've been expecting this letter for quite a few days.

Well, so far, I got nothing from Tuck, no interview invitation, no waitlist, no rejection letter.  I paid the application fees and cannot even get a "nice" rejection letter.  What a story!  I guess they totally forgot me.... Jesus.......I checked my online status. It still in the state of "submission and completion".

I'm done with Tuck.  I'll write them to ask them to send me a rejection to justify the application fee they charged me.  Hehehehe........

abc_on_line, is it possible that your application came to the Jan round review? Just a wild guess.

How come?  I submitted my application on 26 November, far before their 1st round deadline.

I wrote to ask them.  No response, so far........

So, I'll write to ask them if they have made any decision on my application.  If yes, then let me know.

The Admissions Committee has completed a thorough review of your application to the Olin MBA program at Washington University. After considering your credentials in careful detail, I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a seat in this fall's entering class.  The competition for admission this year has been extremely strong, and we unfortunately cannot offer all qualified candidates entry into the program.  Our office does provide counseling sessions for all denied applicants once the entire admissions cycle is complete.  These sessions are conducted only in August.  Feel free to contact us at that time if you wish to discuss your application.

Thank you for your interest in the Olin School of Business.  I wish you complete success in all of your future personal and professional endeavors.

Sincerely,

Evan Bouffides
Assistant Dean & Director of
MBA Admissions and Financial Aid

Yes, I threw in my applicatin in November.  No interview so far.  The final decision deadline for Nov round is 2 Feb EST.  It's 100% ding.  I've been waiting, but nothing happened yesterday.  I guess they're too busy to take care of the failed applicants.

No way for Tuck to be that generous to enroll a student without interview, well, unless, you have very strong background, for instance, a nephew of Bush or Blair or Gates.  Hehehe.......

If we're on the same boat, we will receive the ding letter sooner or later.  Forget Tuck bah.   Wish you good luck with other schools!

Thanks for the info. Wondering if you've got any news from Tuck by now?

While I think you didn't really use this name in your application, did you?
