[求助]about essay format

some programs only require that the essay should be limited within one page. no words limit, no format requirement. should I:

1, double space?
2, 11 size?
3, or some other common format?

如果学校没有说明的话，当然可以用单倍行距，但是adcom每天看那么多的文章，还是至少用1。5行距比较舒服一点。另外我觉得很多时候我们的文章是有很大的水分，完全可以用更加精炼的文字表达出来的。

很多学校要求double-space，但是这样可以写得很少啊，而且两倍行距也不太好看，可不可以用1.5倍呢？

还有就是大家的一页纸上需不需要重复原来essay的标题呢? 有些光是标题就占去了好几行地方了.
如果是1.5行距,11号字,一页应该大约有多少字?
如果学校要求150字,写到170字左右可以吗?

我觉得标题一般不用重复。 字数在+/- 10%范围内都是可以的。很多招生办说他们是不会仔细查字数的，但超太多的话，他们会有感觉的。

also about the essay format.

to some program, I can submit my essay online. there are too ways. one is upload my essay in word format. the other is by cutting and pasting. to the first one, I can choose the 11, 1.5 space, how about the second one?

if they require to limit my essay in one page, should I limit my words to one page based on 1.5 space or double-space?

The second way may let you put more words in your essays. Because most schools do not care the format when they allow you to copy and paste your essay. If you do still have question about this part, just send email to schools to figure it out.
