关于宾语从句的that

白勇语法上反复强调：宾语从句的that不能省略，但是请看下面这道GMATprep题（正确答案是A），saying后面不就省略了that吗？大家看这是怎么一回事？

有that更好。但是其他选项更不好，B,but后一般加句子； C，两个句子不能就用，连接； 而且SAY后面的句子意思上不能和前面并列； D，E， 没主句了。

还没看过白勇语法，有错请大家纠正。
