But there were also quite many 780 & 770 got dinged in R1... So GMAT doesn't gurantee anything

Right, GMAT score can not gurantee admission, it's only a part (not a small part) of the whole application package.

However, a high GMAT could be help if your peers are all strong on it.

So, just try what we can to get the best.

分数确实在这个段上,相对优劣势都不大,(对于这些申请激烈的牛校来说),

不过,这里数据的可信度到没必要去怀疑

8000人次？is that too crazy? I think maybe 1000 is too much. The admission rate of Wharton is about 15%. That means about 8000 apply every year and 1100 got admission.

按照wharton的以往数字,因为wharton 是大校,每年入学人数超过你说的数字.

如果今年招收不变的话,录取率数字肯定走低,因为今年的申请人太多,05年录取率25%,估计今年申请人数会远远大与8000,很多学校申的人翻番.

(我发上贴的时候是随便估的8000数字,没想到这么一查,算起来还真惊人)
