i might recognize 10000 words. but i can use only 500 out of those.

sometimes a "simple" looking word can still express so much. several years ago, a friend of mine and i went hiking on long island. somewhere we saw a path, and my friend said, "it looks so inviting!" hearing such use of the word "inviting", i felt quite mesmerized by the beauty of language.
