As a reapplicant, should I rewrite all essays for Columbia, even it is not requi

I got rejected by Columbia and wanted to give up before. But after painfully thinking, I decide to take another shot this year.

For reapplicant, Columbia said " you are required to submit only the re-applicant essay:xxxx". I want to rewrite all essays since I think my old essays are really bad and cause the rejection last year. My question is whether my other essays will be evaluated or they  not be considered at all?

It sounds more like a question to the admission office. Call them up.

you can find related Columbia thread in businessweek forum about this question. it's your judgment to write only one essay or full package. Also I don't think it's a good decision to reapply Columbia in regular decision. Good luck

Thanks for all replies.I started late since i could not decide on this . and so miss the early decision of columbia.

So you think the admission percentage for regular decison is small. In my case, does it really worth a try?
