I personally believe that in California, MBA programs in UC San Diego and UC Irvine has the greatest potential to grow to be two of the best business schools in the nation and apparently more and more people would agree with that. Some of the graduate programs in these two school, like neuro-science in UC San Diego which is the nation's #1 topping MIT, Harvard and all others, are among the most elite in US. These two schools are both very young public schools but very well funded by the UC system. Though they may not be able to boost their ranking in all areas within a short period of time, they are very capable of focusing tons and tons of resources on some particular fields and making those fields some of the nation's most competitive relatively shortly. MBA has been such an area of their focus in recent years. UCI and UCSD are heavily funded by tech giants like Sun Micro, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Dell, so curriculums in many graduate programs are strongly techo-oriented. As opposed to the tradition MBA programs, MBA programs here focus a great deal of emphasis on how techology influences busienss and how should business leader empower their busiensses with edge-cutting technologies. There must be more to say about the school but I guess it's up to those who are really itnerested in it to find out =) Oh last thing, Irvine is such a perfect place to live in as far as wheather. Those who like sunshine, beaches, surfing and bikini girls definitely don't wanna miss it. ^O^ |
