I submitted my application around Nov.6th, and I applied for Spring,2007 I called Ms.XXXX at the end of Nov.asking for the admission result; at that point, I found out Ms.XXXX thought I apply for Fall,2007,and she didn't submit my application for evaluation. I called back again 3 days later and was told on the phone that I had been admitted to the program and should reveive the lettler shortly. Reveiving the admission letter is another story ( it took 3 weeks. I live in Maryland, close to D.C.). Pain in the ass....Good luck to you!
I don't know when you submitted your application; I guess long enough to be anxious.hehe... On GWU wesite, it is said that we should have the admission results in 2 weeks. My advice,"Don't wait anymore, contact them"! Sometimes, you need to constantly crack the whip on those people to get them moving. Good luck to you!
Strongin, hope to see you there! BTW, do you know sth about the Macc program of GWU? As I'm living in NC now and don't know much about it, especially the job placement, I don't know whether I should accept the admission.
One more thing; if you haven't submitted your online application, please do that ASAP. The online application is part of a complete application although it is not mentioned in the required admission requirements.
hi again Bluestar07, GWU is the only school i applied for; the reason is that I live in Maryland and GWU is the only decent school offering Macc program within my serching range ( max. 3 hours daily commute). Due to my personal issues,I don't consider relocation.
I have been to NC visiting my friend at Duke; as I recall, the accounting program at University of NC-Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler) ranks top ten. Don't you think it would be a better choice since you are in NC. To be honest, I don't know much about the program and the job placement other than the information posted on their website. I have no previous accounting background and just want to gain knowledge and credits for CPA exam. Maybe I can get some info from the students once the spring semester starts and also I will an insider. hehe..I believe the students know better. I will keep you posted!
UNC is good but it's a pity that I can't apply it as my bachelor's degree is accounting. I'm living in Duke and it isn't very far from DC, probably 4 hours drive distance. Hope to keep in touch with you!
