Hi Vitamin, my case is very similar to yours. I have been working in consulting for 3 years and currently work as an assistant project manager. I personally feel that english or verbal should not be a problem for you as you have been studying and working oversea for so many years. Low verbal score is just because of time insufficiency. However, according to my knowledge, BS do place a lot of weight on GMAT or balanced verbal and math. That was my concern too. On the other hand, since Wharton has offered an interview to me, so I guess they have already found evidence to compensate my low verbal, such as essays, working experience and other academic studies, although I am not quite sure what the impact is on the final decision. As a result, my conclusion is that try to polish your essays to direct the adcom and give them the impression that your experience and overall profiles have demonstrated your proficiency on verbal abilities. And as other dudes suggested, show your proficiency during the interview. |
