请教OG READING PRACTICE 5 第一题:

The Biological Approach. Numerous biological structures and chemicals appear to be involved in aggression. On is the hypothalamus, a region of the brain. In response to certian stimuli, many animals show instrinctive aggressive reactions. The hypothalamus appears to be involved in this inborn reaction pattern: electrical stimulation of part of the hypothalamus triggers stereotypical aggressive behaviors in many animals. In people, however, whose brains are more complex, other brain structures apparently moderate possible instincts.

OG给的答案是3), 可是我觉得应该是2)才对呀,看不懂OG的解释,哪位XDJM可以详细解释一下?

关键句：electrical stimulation of part of the hypothalamus triggers stereotypical aggressive behaviors in many animals.

2）误说是artifical stimulation.

3)是把关键句倒过来说。

原句说部分hypothalamus的electrical stimulation 引起了动物的aggressive behaviors;

3)说动物的aggressive behaviors表明了hypothalamus的increased activity.

可是A推出B,也不一定就能B推出A啊?

哦，我明白了。

2）的意思是电刺激动物的下丘脑会导致动物的攻击性行为。这是对问题中动物的攻击性行为和下丘脑有关系的进一步的解释，到底有什么关系。2）是一个结论，不是证据。

而证据是指客观存在的事实，是一个detail. 3)恰好是detail. 动物的行为带有攻击性时下丘脑表现出活跃的活动。为什么其它器官没有活动，只有下丘脑有活动。看来，下丘脑是和攻击性行为是存在某种关系的。

不知道我的第二次理解对不对。

既然是detail的话，那么The hypothalamus appears to be involved in this inborn reaction pattern: 这句带冒号的句子才是specific的。

关键的，对于第二句，我觉得是这个意思：某种用电的，代替下丘脑的模拟装置，导致…………不过这个理解无所谓……，请看：

文中那句写的是electrical stimulation of part of the hypothalamus

第二各答案是Artificial stimulation of the hypothalamus

我觉得意思几乎是一样的。

换句话，第二三的选项分别代表文中一后一前两句话，所以，估计就是evidence的理解不同了。于是就回到italic 的那句话，这句话我觉得说明:furthermore, the increasement sowed has been prived like...也就是选项二的答案。题目要求according to ...所以应该是答案二。不能理解文中前面一句是后面一句的原因……
