key is D.   i am confused with the "they" , "the ants"  and "it",

also, in D, "consider X to be Y" .  is it conflict with "consider to NOUN" ??

got it. i wrongly thought "species" to be one plural form.

Because they are so genetically similar to one another, the ants consider  

"they" agree with "ants".

C中的limits和struggles数不一致

当然要用复数they

                            species to spread widely；Because they are so genetically similar to one another。。。

because后解释the species如何to spread widely，况且similar
                    to one another也体现了一个群体之间的个体相似

但consider X Y（优选）的用法更习惯于consider X to be Y,  但此题选项中都是一致的，所以不是考点。

如果是定语从句谓语用limits，主语可以是kind，我认为也应该是可以讲的通的。而如果选择D,they（复数）怎么能对应（similar to）one another(单数) ？所以是不是因该考虑C呢？
