被chicago和kellogg录了， 选哪个？

一般来说,最喜欢的有可能是性格方面不具备的,所以才喜欢.   要找的不是最 喜欢的,是最match你的才对. 这就和marriage一样. 要不是会很boring的.

其实不难选择啊？ Finance&marketing是完全不同的方向，似乎没有什么好选择的。喜欢marketing就去kellog, 喜欢finance/economics就去chicago。不过如果你30几了，没有相关经验，还是part-time的， career change应该很难，尤其是到金融行业。

Reputation wise, those two schools are almost the same. Kellogg was No.1 on BW for the last several years, and Chicago GSB is the No.1 this year. On USNews, Kellogg is No.4 for several years, and Chicago is always top 10, and currently at 6. For their part-time program, both are top 5. Therefore, you should choose based on your career goal. People usually say: choose Chicago if you do finance and Kellogg if marketing. In general, it's probably right. However, there are several things you may want to consider. First, there are career paths other than finance and marketing. Are you or will you be interested in those? Which school provides better chance for those? Second, even within finance and marketing, it can still differ a lot. For example, for finance, there are IB, IM, S&T, PWM, PE, HF, etc. Third, your personal preference on school brand, culture, teaching methods, and etc.

Part-time student life is really HARD. I am doing a Master degree part-time, and lost few lbs, which I tried for many years. I am taking two classes this semester, and made several business trips. I can't feel more stressful this couple months. Hopefully, it will be over in month.

It's very hard to find a decent marketing job if you are not native. Even if you have top MBA.
This is what I am told by our MBA career office's international students staff.

Many Chinese students have this kind of perception, but it is not necessarily true. Marketing jobs do require more soft skills such as communication and interpersonal skills, but if you have been in the US for several years with good communication skills, there are definitely opportunities. I know some Chinese people who are very successful product managers. Also, there are lots of marketing research jobs out there, which are less demanding, but with less pay of course. I think personality and communication are the key factors for marketing career.
