1. Yes

2. Those are different grading systems.  For example, Tres Bien = A, second class = B, upper division = B or better, etc.  Don't worry about it if your school doesn't give out grades that way.

Hard to say.  There're different systems.  You can ask the schools that you're applying to which conversion systems they prefer.  Good luck!
