Suncola, I wrote a mail to Linda. She will be very tired as she need present in Shanghai today.

From session of yesterday, I got qutie a lot first hand information; but at the same time, I feel the competition. Lots of guys wearing suits and ties tried to behave well and impress Linda(a show off?)

But anyway, I think the sucess of application will depend on your strengh. I am confident that I will be give interview opportunity and I will focus on my essays and made the job perfect.

Once I am interviewed, I am certain I could be admitted. Although my spoken english is not as perfect as those who lived in New York for several years. My diversified experiences and part-time CAT lecturer experience will help me survive.

Although I could give up Yale application as it is not suitable for me and the program is quite small; I cannot do the same thing to Columbia,my dream school!

Actually anyone in admission office is in the better position than I - they have the updates about all admission policies. They are all quite nice and responsive. Linda may not be the best one to contact - as the key person in admission, I guess she would be responsible for "big things" rather than deal with details.

Confidence is the first thing ppl should have in application, and you have it. That's good!

Our CBS 09 is on board to answer questions now and unfortunately I am quite busy these days. I would appreciate if you post your questions in another thread of CBS while still maintaining your high interests in CBS. Thanks!

With respect to the essay questions, you have to actually create your own accout to see them.  But I believe, some CDer has posted the essay questions in the BBS earlier.  You can try to search for them.

Suncola,

I have assumed that the ED round will have some advantage in admission.  Given the situation I am in right now, it's kind of impossible to meet the 10/11/07 dealine.  How big of advantage will the ED admission has in terms of being admitted? Should I take more time to prapare my package, or should I take the ride of the last minute ride on the ED admission? What would be your advice?  Thank you very much.

我现在大三,正在longisland的SUNY at Old Westbury 作一年exchange student, 金融专业, 打算暑假回去就考GMAT,之前考过GRE1300+4.5,TOEFLibt 108,应该能够争取到这里美国教授的推荐信,GPA3.8左右,国内本科是211和985里的,最弱的就是没有工作经验这一项,请问我这样算有硬伤吗,值得申请试试看吗,或者大四前暑假赶紧去实习一个月,您说有必要吗?

机会很小。

没有工作经验对你来说，更大伤害还是MBA毕业之后找不到工作。几乎所有的没有工作经验的中国TOP MBA，都找不到工作。至今没有看见一个列外。

因此，我一般不鼓励走捷径，还是老老实实的工作几年再说。

Hi I am a CBS applicant who is still working on my application. Just wondering if anyone could share some thoughts about one question:

The review period for Regular round  will begin at Jan 09, 2008. Does that mean no matter when applicants submit their applications between Oct 11, 2007 (after ED round deadlind) and Jan 09, 2008, their applications will be reviewed at the same time? (Or maybe first submited will get read first?)
