应 该用主从句 不能颠倒 比如原意是even though Clovis points  blabla  , named New Mexico 在后，
而不是even though named New Mexico。。。 ，Clovis points  blabla ..的
还有就是看到 in 1932 判断是用过去时 而不是用完成时。。
不知道有没看懂，表达的不是很清楚 请原谅，
还是翻开OG看解释吧。

不好意思，把老贴顶出来了。

我觉得楼上的NN说的都对，的确BCDE都存在很大的问题，但是我想请问的是，难道就没有人对于A中的THEY指代提出疑问吗？

如果你说后两个they指代的是clovis points，也就算了，代词优先指代主句主语，但是第一个在插入语中的their，我实在是觉得它存在的指代不清的嫌疑，难道我想错了吗？

请指教！

同位语相对于句子主干只属于附属结构，插入语中的代词可以指代句子主干中的对象，而主体句子中的代词应不该指代插入语中的名词，因此they也就只能指代Clovis points，而their指代Clovis points或spear points应该没有区别吧，他们是一个东西。
我个人这么理解，不知道对否。

og上原题~答案是A  首先考虑时态，因为是1932年，所以应该用一般过去时，排除C,B的话where first discovered 不对，应该用where they were first discovered~

查有道词典SPEAR POINTS, 赫然出现的例句就是C，所以十分困惑。GOOGLE第一个就出来了CD的讨论，终于明白了。多谢各位！

spear points+with+Noun+Verb-ed
翻译是： points 具有chipped到their faces的grooves，显然是their指代points

B中，their前面有Clovis points, spear points, grooves, 知道不明确

引用Ron的话，GMAT中在没有其他明显语法错误+逻辑清晰的情况下，正确答案允许“指代不明”

BCDE中的时态问题，被动语态问题都非常明显
