First, you can take student loan in US business school, although the interest rate is somewhat high, but if you can find a reasonable job after MBA, you can pay it back. I remember it may take 10 years to repay the loan. Second, in your age, I would say a MBA from a top school (or top in your target area) is more important. Other than that, I would say it is better to stay in what you have now. University of California Riverside is a so-so school, and even myself just passed CFA level 1 (if in China, I do not feel hard to pass all 3 levels while working full-timely, just spend more time to enjoy the sunshine and beach in sunny California. But I was also a exam-machine in the past... :-) ). Anyway, do not feel so bad on yourself. Your working experience is your biggest asset. After all, we are in the same age, and we will consider more things than younger applicants, and MBA is not just a dream... Currently, I am in Beijing for a short trip (will leave next Tuesday morning), if you want to have a chat, we can arrange one... :-) Good luck! Hope this helps! |
