搜索了一下没有找到这道题。这道题我原来选C，GWD给的答案也是选C的。但是今天作GMATPREP时发现答案是A。想不明白为什么选A。大家帮帮忙好吗？谢谢！

C肯定是错的，把sunspot cycles放在最后，显得the trunks是cycles的，而不是trees的了。

但是A用复数are我实在不敢不知道为什么。我觉得E比较好。
