Career Goal, General or Specific to detail

For career goal, I am thinking to join a IB (regardless what we discussed in other threads), is that too specific if I state it in my career goal essay? now, I am stating "join in investment banking firm, such as xxxx". which way is better? function of the position, or character of the company?

I think it depends.

since I am not a business people, and it would be a little skeptical if I shown a very clear narrow career goal which is probably is narrow, so I think detail function of the position or work you want to do, but not detail to which group in which company.
