Could anyone tell me how's the average GMAT score for Kellogg & GBS PART TIME MBA PROGRAM?

And could anyone help to evaluate my background? Beside, I am planning to preparing my application after GMAT exam. Is 1 months enough for doing all the preparations for 2 schools?

Thank you very much!!!

Bachelor of Finance degree in US (GPA 3.2)

Working experience -- Commodity Broker for 4.5 years.

GMAT (Will take it in mid of Dec)

Chicago 的前辈们:

Chicago interview 录取的比例大概是多少啊?从以前的帖子看,似乎interview invitation发的比较多,最后录取的少?interview比较严格是么?

Any tips on successful off-campus interview with alumni?

Thanks a lot!

Could anybody tell me some information about the Hyde Park Center?

I found GSB is really cool with the creative feeling. The downtown is also more attractive than the small town or village. sorry for offending any school.

Let me lump sum all answers in one message.

To lancome130,
A brief introduction of GSB campuses can be located here. http://www.chicagogsb.edu/about/campuses/index.aspx

To roadmap,
GSB interviews about 50% of the applicants. Among them around 40% are admitted. The acceptance rate is around 20%.

To buttkicker,
Your backaground is fine. The class profile of evening and weekend program can be found here. http://www.chicagogsb.edu/parttime/admissions/fastfacts.aspx#classprofile
No GMAT stats though.

To inseadsh,
The short answer is you will have a good GM education here. As a matter of fact, the education offered by all top schools are of similar quality. In terms of corporate reputation, GSB is fairly strong in traditional industries but does lag a bit in high-tech (although it's catching up). You should do your own homework though.

To XUANYA2005,
There is no fixed team here. It's completely up to you to build/join a team for each of your classes.

To icecream_mba,
I don't have the concrete number here but my impression is there are at least 3-5 from Hongkong each year. The number of students directly from mainland China is usually in teens each year. Counting Hongkong, Taiwan and US based Chinese, the number goes up to around 30 for each class.

Hope this helps.

hi, here is isabella. i got chicago interview invitation on Nov 10th, friday.. and will do it in Toronto ( where i located) but the wired thing happened..

the name of the interviewer i searched in  friday afternoon was Michael A. Koen, Michael.koen@tdcapital.com. because it was around 4 pm on friday. so i wrote down his contact information and prepared to draft an email and contact him the first thing in  Monday morning..

Now is Sunday afternoon . I am ready to send the my contact email to Mr. Koen. I loged in the online application to confirm his contact information again, but the name of my interviewer changed to Lynda Gauthier , lgaudthie@gsb.uchicago.edu .

what happened? Does it mean Michael alrady booked with some else..

I should send out the email immeidately then, because Michale was in the same Bank i work with.. too bad..

Anyone can help me ? What should i do ?

Thanks

To eaststar,

Since you have worked for 14 years, your GPA will not be as critical in Adcom's eyes as your career progression to date. You have to justify why you need a MBA after working for 14 years and why NOW. The average GMAT score for class 2008 is 703. So long as your GMAT is above average, you don't need to worry about it. High GMAT score is definitely a plus, but it is just a data point not a must.
