Money order就是汇票. 由于你们现在还没有美国的帐户,第一次得用票汇. 此外, 要带部分美元现金. 到了Duke以后,可以去Bank of America或Wachovia开帐户,然后让他们托收你的汇票. 一般2-3天就能到帐. Duke的学费是可以通过网上划账来付的.

至于财力证明,以前的流程是这样的. 你先把你的资金证明(人民币)给学校, 学校为你还缺的那一部分资金做担保, 然后发你的I-20. 你拿到I-20去签证, 给签证官看你那部分资金的资金证明就行了. 到了学校后可以办理贷款, 贷款直接进入你的学生帐户.

谢谢DUKE2009的热情。我先报个到，周日会过去。可能有几位同学我在DUKE时见到。那天正好是Fri 庆祝我们的春节。我见了好多同学。

请教一下：DUKE能够给的奖学金有多少啊？以上的奖学金可以进一步谈判吗？我知道有些学校是可以和Director直接面谈的，只要candidate对自己有足够的信心。谢谢回答。

Cong to your offer and scholarship.

I personally believe Duke is more generous this year than last year, when we only had 4 ppl got less amount of money than you folks.  So it really depends on your own choice but we can not provide any suggestion.  Our info session this weekend will be held in another location, for the details, please refer to following linkage.
