I am in HSM.  I didn't apply it but after learning more info during the admission weekend (Blue Devil Weekend at the end of April, after admission), I liked it and entered the program.

I agree with Northeuro's comments. 

This program also makes you even busier -- and it has been crazy the last few weeks for everybody here. 

HSM也可以在校申请. 二年级中就有人原来是HSM然后转出去做投行了, 另外有人原来不是HSM, 暑假的时候申请上了bootcamp,转入了HSM.

I am wondering whether the admission and study life of Chinese students will be adversely impacted by the scandal involvement of the 22 Chinese students. Alumni, could you please some comments and suggestions? thanks!

It's a very good question! And I did get many queries about this issue from many friends recently.

As a first year student, I haven't experienced any discrimination from either faculty or main students body. I even had chance to talk with the Judical Chair about cheating scandle this spring and its potential impact to current Chinese students, she said the School would not pose their opinion to the whole ethnic group but just to people. I bet second year student share the same feeling with me. I would have chance to talk with admission officers and  update you guys later!

是不是在essay中恰当体现自己的ethic会比较好一些？

Dear all prospective students,

I talked with admission officers today and they all confirmed my thought before that cheating scadle this spring won't negatively affect Chinese applicants. They would just see it as case-by-case thing but not necessarily to link with whole ethnic group.

I do encourage you guys to learn more about Duke from various channels, website, CD, BW forum or whatever. Post here with whatever questions you have, we current dukies would try best to bridge you guys with Duke community.

新学期的第四个礼拜，FUQUA MBA学生会和International Business Club， Asian Business Club联合打造了一个中国文化周。周二中秋节在FOX CENTER摆出展台请各国同学品尝月饼，明天则是有剪纸和其他民俗的介绍，今天晚上我们已经把FOX CENTER装饰的很有感觉了：大红灯笼，中国节，红辣椒等等，争取下周能传上来一些照片给大家看看。另外一年一度的Campout明天傍晚就要开始了, Campout是DUKE每年最盛大的节日(也许是之一),连续36个小时的野营，不单单只是为了DUKE篮球队的赛季套票，更重要的是大家social的舞台，现在无比期待中，等下周再来update!
